Coastal Communities and Response Planning

Abstract The Coastal Response Program is a Western Canada Marine Corporation (WCMRC) initiative that brings existing response programs under one umbrella. objective to enhance these interrelated initiatives and ensure they have coordinated support maintain an operational ready state. program improves WCMRC's overall capacity by building strong relationships with industry, coastal communities First Nations involving them in spill meaningful way. This paper will provide update on how WCMRC rolling out the Canada's west coast discuss some of benefits challenges has experienced.
